Help, I may need an intervention!

Glocks are fine pistols, I grabbed a cheap G22 Gen3 a few years back, police trade in, handles 40S&W well, fairly accurate, always goes bang.

I hear ya, but let me draw an analogy.

My first 1911 was like first-time ##### I hope the Glock doesn't turn out to be a blow-up doll.

If you're considering a 48, be sure to look at one first. They're slimmer than the 19 and don't come with interchangeable backstraps to accommodate larger hands. I have huge paws and shooting the 48 rapid fire is like trying to hold onto an angry magic marker.

I would say a g17 or an m&p 2.0
The 19 has a smaller sight radius.
The only negative I have with glocks is they don't like me!(they bonk me in the head with their shell casings.i even got one in between my face and my shooting glasses--small burn no biggie)
If you don't have a cz75 get that one first.back in Alabama I have a cz75D compact and everyone wants to buy it from me.i had it cerakoted.

toyboy that's a sweet looking pistol

Stepson #1 lives in Georgia and carries a Glock in his glove box. He's been bugging me for years to get one.

they're good guns and so easy to work on.i replaced the sights, extractor, ejector, put in a grip plug and a stainless steel recoil assy.
it still has wierd ejection but some guns do that no matter what you do to it.
the g23 gen 3 i changed the recoil assy to SS and the ejector to a 9mm ejector(the .40 ejector is straight but the 9mm is curved)

IMO, every serious handgunner needs a good revolver, a steel hammer-fired semi and a polymer striker pistol.

To start, I chose the Smith Wesson 686-3, a Colt Mark IV Series 80 Gold Cup and a Glock 17 RTF2.
The Gold Cup is gone now, a Springfield Armory Loaded has taken its place as my premier 1911. The other 2 are still around.

I can only echo this with the sternest of resolve... Omne ferrum ignitum malleo; latin for "all steel; hammer fire. My motto!!!

Sold my Gold Cup years ago (BIG mistake) along with more S&W revolvers than I can remember. Left with a 92FS as my 1911. Now that I'm retired, starting to build my collection up again.

When work returns to normal I’m buying a Glock 40, long slide 10mm. Oh baby, I’m not gonna hate myself in the morning I can tell you that!

Ok I’ve narrowed it down to a Sig P320 M17 or M18. I like the compact size of the M18 but worried that the small guys might be on the next prohib list.
