E-mail on the way of my Husqvarna model 4000 LW,
and 'another' Husqvarna.
It came off of a NEA AR15. It's sort of the NEA version of a Magpul MOE carbine stock. In some ways I like it more than the Magpul as it is a bit lighter and it also already has holes for push in QD sling studs.

I have one of the same, passed down when my Dad passed away. Sent a photo to SuperCub as I haven't yet made arrangements to post photos since the photobucket 'change'. Dad's has exceptional wood.
Yeah, that’s why I mentioned it. The recoil-reducing knoxx stock I bought also came with a tacticalesque squareish forestock. I liked the original better, so sold the knoxx.

Thanks guy. The intent in sending you those photos was to show what Dad's 4000 light weight looked like compared to the one noted in your earlier post on a 4000.
I do appreciate your posting of my photos though. I got into a 'snit' back when photobucket started s******g around and although I keep saying "I'll have to make other arrangements", I have yet to do so. Any day now. Again, thank you.

For me it would be a choice of 3:
1) For if there was a large, toothy criter around:
9.3x62 FN Commercial usually I shot 285gr Oryx through it but trying out some 250gr Accubond this year
2) For just general handiness and take down
Chiappa Alaskan in .44 mag with a 2.5x28 Scout scope (Sometimes a red dot goes on top). 240 soft point is always a good option but I'm quite liking the 210gr Sierra JHC as well.
3) If I might need bird or buck shot as well as slugs
Benelli Supernova with a Speadbead and a Burris Fastfire III (3MOA) current has a 24" smoothbore barrel which I use for slinging slugs. Also have a 26" Multichoke barrel and if taking it into the bush I would probably lose the magazine extension.

Top pic is a Marlin 1895 Trapper in 45-70 running Lev 2, 405gr hard cast RCBS FN GC with Rel 7, (which I have yet to recover one as there are always two holes from whatever angle)
Second pic is a Tacord assembled Tikka T3X in 308WIN, 12.5" IBI tube running 165gr Nosler BT or AC

It's actually from a JM 1895 that I had sitting around. I did the Devcon and tongue depressor texture thing to it and rattle canned it black. I didn't like the finish on the factory offering plus the ones that come with them are laminated and painted and there was a crack starting near the tang between some of the layers. This one will need a recoil pad upgrade in the near future as the Lev 2 loads are not forgiving on the shoulder lol.
I recommend grind to fit Kick-Eez recoil pads have them on all of my heavy recoiling rifles/carbines including my 1895GS in 45-70 that I load 460gr - 525gr - 550gr for totally takes the sting out of the recoil.
