Description

The MRA Maverick is a novel, spring assisted, straight pull, magazine fed firearm design. It is composed of a proprietary receiver, bottom metal, and proprietary bolt carrier with integrated, swap-able left or right hand charging handle. This builder kit is compatible with a wide variety of commonly available firearm parts and accessories. In this way, the user can build a rifle to meet their specific utility and budget.

The Maverick is designed and intended to not be capable of discharging ammunition in a semi-automatic fashion. The design is novel and is not derived from any restricted or prohibited firearm. Due to the action type and novel design, this firearm meets the legal standard of a non-restricted firearm as per the Canadian Firearms Act and related Regulations. The minimum overall length when assembled into a working firearm must be over 26″ to meet the standard of non-restricted.

We recommend using our MRA Maverick Barrel Torque Rod when assembling or performing work on the Maverick.

Features:
Spring-assisted, manually-operated, straight-pull bolt action
Side-charging handle can be mounted to Left or Right side (ejects to the Right always)
Can be readily assembled to shoot 308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, and many other cartridges

Any receiver dimensions so we can determine shortest barrel length for folding stocks while still meeting OAL?

I see three differences from the Renegade: this one is bigger, it has a bolt latch, and it handles fixed stocks.

Are there any other new tricks under the hood, to entice someone who already has a Renegade?

Will the fixed-stock thing retrofit to a Renegade?

Looking awesome!

@MRA - does the upper have a low or high profile?

The Maverick receiver has a DPMS high profile.

The receiver lines up with DPMS pattern handguards like our MRA X1 and X2 handguards which also fit receivers like the STAG-10 and BCL102.

We will have A2 adaptor plates available today or tomorrow that will fit on the Renegade and Maverick. The kits are not supplied with the A2 plates, only the regular plates.

The reasons we include the regular plates with the kits are 1. The A2 plates cover the QD port at the back of the receivers. 2. Most people are not putting A2 stocks on their guns. 3. The regular plate is cheaper to produce.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't DPMS considered high profile? Or am I mixing it up with LR308? trying to see if the Zev wedge lock handguard will work. They are DPMS high profile.

@mapleridgearmourer Can you please confirm if it will fit regular DPMS high profile handguards?

Hey Maple Ridge Armourer. Do you guys plan to make some 308 10.5 or 12.5 inch barrels for these receivers in the near future?
