Mannlichers....

The amber one? Just got that, an L46 in .222...traded for it. Haven't even shot it yet.

that is the nicest Sako model ever made, in my opinion.

I like that Husqvarna on the right with the receiver sight. Very much a classic set-up.

Yes, its another new acquisition (the Lyman 57 HVA sight, not the rifle.) I just got it, brand new in the box. I put it on a 30-06. Perfect fit. No wood removal.

Rob, my L46 has been an incredible shooter since the day I got it in 1966, and it was used when I got it. I gave it to my wife the year before we got married, and she learned to shoot with it.

It has a 26 inch medium sporter barrel, and can literally shoot tacks out of the target at 100 yards. You are going to be quite pleased when you use that sweet little carbine.

Yours is the only one I have ever seen in the full stock.

Damn we really need a like button on this site!! Such beautiful rifles! I always been a fan of full stock rifle, my “everyday” rifle is a Ruger no1 RSI 30-06... nothing fancy!! But I like it!! Wish I could buy one or two more.... maybe a Kipplauf stutzen or a nice bolt action!!! 22lr and 7x57/6.5x55 would be my first choices in calibers!!

The fullstock rifle (with Zeiss scope) right next to it in the photo, is also a Sako L46 .222. I have shot that one, and it's very accurate.

Those two Sako L46 fullstocks are lightweight, but they aren't really "carbines", they are full length rifles with approx. 23.5 in. barrels.

It is unfortunate, but I think this Blade Runner sci-fi movie prop gun (based on the receiver from a Steyr-Mannlicher Model L)
may be the most famous "Mannlicher" of all. These non-firing replicas can be expensive (over $1000.) and I see the Steyr trademark on most of them. I wonder if Steyr gets a cut.

Why is it that every time someone says, "How dumb can you get?", there's always some putz that takes that on as a challenge...
