Ya no problem though it may be a while because I have a lot going on right now. That said I can tell you a bit about it.

First it has the feel of a centerfire rifle (not that of a downsized kids rifle)with a length of pull of just over 14 inches and the fullstock version weighs close to 61/2 pounds. The barrel is free floated probably one of the reasons they didn t put a nose cap on it though it would of been nice. The forend tip is nice but they could of carved it a little more fancier than it is.For me the only thing it is missing in my opinion is double set triggers that would been a nice touch and who knows if the fullstock is popular they might add it in the future. The sights are nice and for a woods walking which in my opinion that's what it's designed I prefer iron sights on a rifle like this. Also I found that the Sako peep sight fits on this gun perfectly though you would have to remove the rear sight blade in order to use it.the magazine is polymer but you can use the metal CZ mags in it .I tried the mag from my norinco JW 25A and it worked perfectly. As far as I m concerned the only real downside to the steyr is the price as it is not cheap about three time what a lot of people would spend on a 22

I find most modern interpretations of the Mannlicher stock are too straight in the forearm. Compare that to an original Mannlicher-Schoenauer, and you'll see there is considerable up-sweep to the stock ahead of the magazine. I think the modern rifle that came closest to getting the look of the old rifles right, is the tang safety Ruger M77 International, with the stock designed by Len Brownell. When they transitioned to the MK II, they lost those lovely sweeping curves.

The top two rifles are M77 Tang Safety Internationals and the bottom two are M77 Mark II Internationals... no difference in the stock design...

Just picked this up a steyr Zepher 2 mannlicher in 22lr

I find it baffling that Steyn went with a cheap stamped trigger guard, reminiscent of the CZ. Luckily DIP products makes a nice aftermarket trigger guard for these, which is a worthwhile upgrade in my opinion.

Did you get it from Nordic Marksman ? I think I noticed some zephyrs there when I stopped by to pick up an order.

Yes I purchased it from Nordic. The trigger guard must be a german thing as I ve had an a Anschutz 1418
Fullstock with the same type of trigger guard. Also the prewar mauser 22 target/ training rifles also had similar trigger guards

I read somewhere that Steyr subcontracted CZ to produce the new Steyr Zephyr II.

It may just be a rumor.
