Honestly, it’s all kind of wishful thinking. Montreal and Toronto and the maritimes voted for the Liberals and stronger gun control was clearly part of the Libs re-election platform. To think that things will go back to “pre May 2020” is unrealistic. We may continue to say “it’s not over yet” but the reality is that it is over. ARs, etc are prohib and they won’t be going back to restricted. Just my .02

It does not affect the legality at all.
No but it will affect enforcement. Internally they may just decide its not worth the resources and time and manpower into enforcing anything more than collecting whats on the registry, i.e. just the ARs and other registered Rs.
