FX9 2021 Update

The forecast ain't looking good folks. I want to be upfront and clear with everyone here so there are no false expectations. There is a very high probability that we will not see any Non-restricted FX9 carbines this year. Due to overwhelming demand in the US, and the enormous backlog of purchase orders that they still have outstanding their production cannot keep up.

Now we should be seeing a small shipment of restricted models coming in the near future, more details on these ones will follow soon. Check in with your local dealer on the restricted models, but be advised there will not be any available info on the NR versions for quite some time.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this is the reality we are currently in.

If only we could load that mag to 33 rounds

You could always take your chances on the Lockhart Raven 9 pre-order. It's basically a fx9 from what I see. And Lockhart is Canadian

Except lockhart has been advertising that once since before the FX9 came out. And have yet to produce. I have been bugging him, since I'm only an hour up the road. But zero progress.

Except they aren’t reclassifying anything to NR from restricted due to barrel length. I’ve had a rifle at the verifier for over 7 months and was told they aren’t changing classifications right now. No reason given why.

Weird. I know the verifiers office were basically doing nothing "because #covid". It took about 3-4 months for them to just send me my verifiers package.

I will take R version. My range is closer than the bush where NR can be shot. Not good for hunting either. I think it will be 8" barrel which I think is best for the balance and for the looks of compact carbine as it supposed to be.

However, if there will be ACP9 Pro with Glock lower available - don't need FX9 then.

Aside from the bolt action aspect you're basically describing a JR Carbine. I have one and its absolutely awesome, and amazing for a lefty shooter. AR form factor, swappable ejection and charging handle, glock mags, 9mm, .40s&w, .45acp, AR parts (handguard, stocks/buffer tube, grips), I don't know why they aren't the most popular gun in Canada atm.

Because they are a turd to clean.
