What's your opinion on the CZ Lux models?

Been eying one in 8x57. They look pretty nice.

One of the nicest rifles. I am saving for an Ebony Lux edition.

I can only hope my 8x57 Lux 2 shows up with wood like that!

And to our other illustrious posters, thanks for my morning laugh. No offence taken here, but this is actually a pretty informative thread on CZ's, not B-cups and inseams. Let's keep on topic :)

Let's hope that with CZ's "big" upcoming announcement regarding their 2022 hunting line that they don't do anything stupid like axing the 557 Lux lines for North America. Based on their 2021 catalogue, it appears they aren't. Nice to see them promoting the Lux SA. I have enough CRF rifles to fondle, so it's less important to me, but the Lux lines really do it for me. I would love to see more 8x57, 7x57, 7x64, 8x60 and other useful and interesting calibres offered, even if they did the Ruger thing and offered a few Euro calibres each year. We have enough 30-06, 308 and 243, and God help us all, 6.5 Manbunn!

6.5 manbun? You dissing the CR? That is pretty good actually.
Supposed to be a good round... makes the believers think Jesus himself wildcatted it though

Nice... no reason not to be happy with that... and as you say, "8X57!"

Thanks. One other point worth noting: while it isn't a dainty rifle, my medium-large hands seem to grip just fine. The palm swell really helps with a positive feel. Sunday will be range day, and I have Prvi, RWS and Norma to test.

I wonder if the made any changes to the stock design compared to the 550?

I'm very happy with my 453 Lux with the set trigger. I have no problem with the grip since I hold it the same way you shoot a Martini. If you notice the back of the receiver on those, there is a thumb print at the back where you put your thumb. If you grab it the more common way, your knuckle obscures the sights. Not a problem with the CZ and an optic, but I've come to prefer that grip, and with a set trigger it's a light touch rather than a grab.

The outward appearance is very similar but the action in-letting is different. I tried fitting a Bell and Carlson stock off my other 550's with no luck. You might get it to fit with modifications. The comb height is higher and more scope friendly. I have a harder time lining up the sights due to the higher comb and my high cheek bone.
