These 3 items were located together, possibly from a military aircraft? Any ideas ?

One item there appears to be a telegraph key. I gather at one time they used Morse on aircraft. Link chute would positively identify it as military and would be an access cover. From a crash ?

Grizz

Agreed these are WW2 aircraft crash items. The link chute takes empty casings and links away from the MGs. As this is Gun #3 I am wondering if it might be from the nose of a P38 Ligthning?

Ansons didn't usually have MGs. P38 Lightning had four .50cal in the nose.

Sir I Agree to disagree with you sir.
How else to train your bomber crews during the common wealth aircrew training plan?
When I was posted Moose Jaw the local police did occasionally recover illegally possessed machine guns said to be removed from Avro Anson crash site during WW2.

Some Avro Anson were equipped with a single forward firing machine gun and some with a turret with just one MG. So certainly not Anson as this is marked gun #3. Lancaster rear turret? Lockheed Ventura?

Well... this might help... the old boy trained as an Observer and it seems like the Anson was used to practice Bombing, and the Bolingbroke was used to practice Air Gunnery.
IIRC he said both a/c were used to train Wireless Operators... and yes back then it was all Morse Code (At least back in Canada during their training days, at any rate.)

That is really great homework friend.

I suggest contacting an aviation museum curator as your next step. And maybe contact that last American aviation company that uses the last airworthy Sabre jet a target towing aircraft in North America.

there are actually quite a few flying sabres in private hands. look up agentjayz on youtube
