What shooting glasses are you using?

What model Rangers are you using and what do you like about them over the Pilla's?

The classic rangers. It’s not so much that rangers are better than pilla. They are as good as but much cheaper.

I really like the Ranger HD dark lens. Good as any pilla/Zeiss lens.

Pilla are good, but they don’t give an advantage you can statistically quantify.

If Randolph paid the top shooters more and gave them more free stuff, more top guys would be using them.

Follow the money.

Happy to find this thread. Just got into trap a few weeks back and I am looking for sunglasses. Leaning towards the Decot or Re Rangers

Anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area that carries Decots or Randolph Ranger shooting glasses, would like to walk in and try on

Only place I could find is Studio Optika in Mississauga but have yet to verify

Regards

Pilla glasses are 100% made in Italy. That’s straight from the mouth of Phil Pilla. He did a behind the break podcast episode. Said enough for me to never bother with his company again.

Randolph Ranger glasses are made in Randolph Massachusetts.

Depends where I am. I've got Brownings in orange and yellow, no name clears and blue, and blacked out Armani I wear driving. Also have a pair of Raybans I wear when I'm feeling dapper.

Next Optical in Oakville has them.
They have ad in Ontario Out of Doors.

I just picked up a pair of Wiley X Rogues and ordered a PTX prescription insert.

I settled on the Rouges as they have an adjustable nose piece with I expect will make it sit more comfortable on my face.

I'll get prescription progressive bifocal lenses cut locally for the insert but so fare they Rogue sit nicely on my face and while a little tricky, I can change out the lenses and remove/insert the nose piece well enough.

I use a pair called NoCry. Dumb name, I know, but they are one of the few models that actually comfortably fits over my prescription eyeglasses. Several other makes and models claim that but the glasses never fully cover the frame and the arms. The NoCry ones have a very adjustable arm and fit right over so much so that I don't even notice I am wearing two pairs of eyewear.

Smith glasses of one sort or another but usually Finback (now called Guides Choice) when I want shades and PivLock when I want clear, yellow or smoke.

I use my Army issued Revision Ballistic Eye Wear with Prescription Bi-Focal Inserts. They do the job very well, and the price was definitely right!

Decot Hi-wyd for a few years.
Oakley M-frames for about 10 years
Back to Decoy when my eyes started to go bad
Now Pilla for a few years. Can’t say they are worth the $$ but they are noticeably better than all the rest.
