PAL Wait Time

Interesting. it wasnt cut at all, our instructor was pretty adamant about that it was fine. Guess ill find out soon..worst case they can use the proper sized photo from my 2nd application (Thanks to canada post) I called the CFO about it, she made a note of it since my application "looks to have been approved" her words, just some processing should be about week.

Update for those using canada post, make sure you use stamps and use express post to save headaches.

2020-Nov-01: CRFSC Completed
2020-Dec-15: Course paperwork received by mail from FSESO
2020-Dec-29: Application mailed via XpressPost (Registered Mail)
2021-Jan-04: Application Received at Miramichi, NB (as per Canada Post website)
2021-Apr-20: “Current Status: Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date.” Credit card also charged this date.

For Ontario people, how long is the wait after this point?

mine was 2 days, license has yet to be received though

They received my application on December 9th, 2020 and I'm still still waiting :/ first time RPAL applicant in Ontario.
 
Has anybody heard that the RCMP will no longer give you your PAL number over the phone after issuing a new license? I saw one person claim this, not sure if it's a new policy, or somebody just having a bad day.

Update- April 21 License Issued and in the mail!

Time to go broke building the armory, cheers everyone!

2021-April-21 Credit card charged and application showed up online.

Does anyone know what the approval time at the Sask CFO level is looking like?

i just used a printed photo but it had to be a ''professional'' photo, it said on my application form that a printed photo was ok but on the
return letter i got it said it had to be done at a photo booth, oh well
 
My wife called today about her's. They said the picture was no good, because there wasn't enough shoulder showing. Looked at my renewal picture I sent last year, only thing showing was my collar and my big mellon. Is the picture person suddenly getting very picky?

Approved: April 21th
Called the Ontario CFO and they told me they couldn't give me my PAL number so I hope my pal doesn't take too long to ship.

Call 1-800-371-4000 Press 1 for english and then 1 to dial by extension. Enter 2501 and that will take you to the Mirachmi office. Thats how I got mine.

Course nov 1st
Papers received on the 15th, sent out same day.
Received December 24th
CC charged on April 16th
License issued April 21st

(I had to call the CFO and they approved on the spot. sent my app with some friends, theirs got approved on the 19th).

Wait, reason is they will send your letter with a return envelope which has a barcode amd is addresed "return information' .I assume it gets to where it is needed quicker.
If you send it in on it's own it just goes to the general box and could sit for months with the back log.

Did you call the RCMP number or the local CFO directly?
