Korth no longer imports Kimber firearms as there are no guns to import. The US market takes everything. The letter from Korth to their dealer network went out a couple of months ago.
They shoot extremely well for lightweight mountain rifles...took my 6.5 Creedmoor Montana out last evening and shot a 3 inch group at 600 yards .I guess Kimber will be relocated in Troy, Alabama. They did not state their regard leaving New York, however they did mention that Alabama has great engineer institutions and are gun friendly. I like the Kimber rifle, they are well put together and appealing to the eye, however, I wish that their barrels were a little more robust and longer. There really isn't to much negative to say about Kimber. Wishing the OP the best of luck, if he has an issue.............maybe a trip to the local gunsmith.
There are no guns to import because Kimber is moving their plan out of new york and they aren't producing new rifles yet. The US is seeing a shortage as well.

. If their rifles are of a similar quality level, they've got to be something else.I've have rifles from the Troy AL plant. Bought them 2years ago.... rifle production is down in favour of handguns. Higher prophet margin in a pistol

If they made lefty rifles I would totally buy a Kimber. Very little options for lightweight lefty rifles =(
