Gas system is a PITA to access, so corrosive would be a bad idea...
Soooooooo......any feedback from people who got the WS-MCR in 7.62x39 on how well these are performing?
Particularly interested in how well it digests Czech, Chinese, or Romanian steel case surplus.
Not being of red rifle heritage, I think it would be more fitting in the "Black and Green Rifles" forum!

nothing useful worth translating, majority of the comments were on the lack of the features on the AR furnature like a QD socket on the MOE stock, a cap to cover the AR grip for storing stuff, no mention of actually putting any rounds downrange or even racking and dry firing.
Not sure if you will be able to get it through customs, but KE Arms makes the SHTF+ Wrap to put around the handguard, which may provide enough insulation to alleviate the heating issue.

Put another 120 rds Barnaul through, 3 light strikes
stock trigger, but I remember I got 2 double taps? around 4th mag
cleaned the firing pin after I got back and noticed no issues
curious to see how it performs next range visit

I am curious about steel cased surplus as well. The gas system would be necessary to clean more often.
Great to hear that your getting good use out of the rifle.
My main interest in this is using the available and inexpensive surplus ammo.

What's so difficult about cleaning the WS?
I too am curious how well it feeds and if it runs surplus. That's key for me.
YouTube channel Dustpan Dynamics shows what happens to their 7.62x39mm MCR with extended (ab)use. They said others has not had this issue, but for them cheap corrosive ammo would build up gunk in the chamber and cause a stuck casing. They did a Canadian style multi-mag dump of 10 round mags, and on eighty the casing got stuck in the chamber and would not extract. The effort to extract it looked painful, but was quite amusing to watch. They said they recommend running a chamber brush through every 60 rounds to clear the debris to prevent the malfunction, but they would not recommend the rifle for dependability on a three gun course. As they noted, others had not had the same issue with corrosive on their MCR, so there could be some variability between rifles and even ammunition.
They also had issues with the rifle shaking apart with the standard gas port and gas block, as it was way overgassed, including loosening the barrel. They installed the TNA adjustable gas block, and that helped alleviate that issue, so it sounds like that is a must for the heavier 7.62x39mm MCRs for sure, and a nice to have for .556.

The whole point to the 7.62x39 design is the benefit of that taper to aid extraction. I'd start with polishing out that chamber, and maybe have a competent gunsmith chase it with a finish reamer if they are still having problems.
