You should warn us when bumping an old thread. I saw a reply by loci_81 and before I checked the date wondered why it took him 6 years to make a post after ripping off a bunch of guys here.

Elmer Keith used to sew leather on the outside of his right pant leg. He'd recline with his knees up and brace the hotrodded 44 special ( he helped design the 44 magnum IIRC ) alongside his leg.
But I could be remembering a touch off...'Sixguns' is at home and I am not.
