As has been often repeated here, the 1911 copies are a great deal. They're fine the way they are, or if you really want to have it "tweaked" there is a lot that can be done.
The 77B is a fun little gun. I bought mine purely because of the price, and it's some fun to haul out at the fun shoots. The plastic parts do feel fragile, and (as mentioned above) it does have a different feel to it as a whole. But, for the price, it's a fun toy to play with.
