Most overrated rifle

Over priced, because it's over rated. But if the price went down, and the quality went back up, they'd be a decent shooter. For a semi.

10/22, By far the most inaccurate POS that ever passed through my safe. If someone offered me a rusty single shot cooey or a 10/22 the cooey would be coming home.

Second this. Though its a nifty little semi, certainly not worthy of all the hype. I could name 5 .22lrs that id rather have as an "only rifle" (as if.)

Good marketing does not a good rifle make. The early ones were consistently better than their latest offerings.

Almost everyone I know spend more on them than they are worth innitially, then piss at least $1000.00 into them to build the rifle they want, then go to a couple competitions, not even place, and park them in the gunsafe and forget about them. Rusty old cooey 78 barn rifle still wins competitions, as does my CIL180, as does my Brno #2. No tinkering involved... and all of them are worth more now than they were when they were made! My old Nylon 66 shot as well, with less feeding problems.

With the price they're going for now, they certainly are overrated. They're claim to fame was their low selling price. Not anymore.

$500 for a semi automatic 7.62x39.. one that will shoot reliably for generations to come is hardly overrated IMO. Calling it overrated is comparable to claiming bad luck, having to split a lottomax win with another person. Lol, we were just spoilt paying what we used to.

Savage Axis rifle

Working at Cabelas in post secondary, i heard every tall tale under the sun about them... "it's a tsck driver", "dropped my deer on a dead run at 500 yards, its a laser beam", "can't get a better rifle than that", "if you guys working here knew anything.anout business, you'd only sell the axis", "anyone that buys anyone but an axis is wasting wasting money"

They're cheap, over rated and over hyped. Triggers suck, stocks are flimsy, actions are gritty and gross.

Your right here.....but they also do do everything you mention in the first paragraph....my Axis is one of my "never sells".

Edit have 0 experience with combination shotgun/rifle firearms.

But doesn’t change my opinion though, junk.

I AGREE ! POS ! jmo RJ

I took mine to the range today to celebrate 10/22 Hate-Er Day. :)

It's only a 25yrd target but it's topped with a cheapo red dot and bulk Super-X ammo. It's pretty much perfect for the plinking gun I use it for and head shots on grouse.

I cut the end off my stock to get rid of the bbl band and free floated the bbl. That helped accuracy a lot.

Christiansen Arms Ridgeline.

The reason is because from my experience, I can’t afford one. If I could afford one, I’d remove it from this list.

I hope the bad press I just gave it drops the price so I can afford one based on the bad reputation I just gave it.

:) Bingo. That was the route a friend of mine took with his. I 'may' do the same with mine ,;)'stainless and plastic', somewhere down the line. However, at present, my group size is about half again bigger than yours so I'll leave it for the time being. Oh, on mine, I have a silver Bushnell rimfire 3x9.

And everything used Husqvarna. These guns are only here because the Swedes do not want them anymore.

Oh, the Swedes want them, they just can't have them. There are restrictions on the number of guns allowed to be owned in Sweden. When you reach your gun ownership limit it is necessary to trade in a used gun if you want to buy another gun. These used guns pile up in the gun stores and are sold wholesale to North American importers.

Current Swedish Gun Limits (from Anders):

6 rifles/shotguns on a hunting licence.

8 rifles/shotguns on a target shooting license.
