I bought a used Girsan regard used and had high expectations.

all the video's seemed positive ..they looked like an accurate pistol.

my buddy bought a new one and talked me into it.
so we took our Girsans out to the range for some fun.

I set my steel 8x8 targets up at 25 yards "same distance I shoot all my hand guns to site them in" and fired 9 rounds and hit nothing !!

we set up the targets again and my buddy tried his NEW Girsan.....NOTHING !
wow whats up ?
so we brought out my large Target Board " 3 feet x 2 feet" and aimed at the middle target.

At 25 yards mine was 14inches low and 8 inches right LOL

My buudy shot & he was 12 inches low and 6 inches left !

so we tried different ammo and benched the guns.
mine- 12 low 6 right. his didnt do much better.

there are no sites in the world that are going to Correct the Point of Aim to any acceptable level.

Both guns where terrible. Did both of use get the worst gun in the world ?

In my 45 years of shooting, I have never seen a hand gun shoot so poorly.
I had a Pietta 1858 cap N Ball that shot 10 times better. " re did the 75 yard hickok Tut heart shot"

Well that does suck, I'm guessing outside of returning it? you will have to experiment with some ammo?, did you shoot both lead? and jacketed? and it's a 92 clone, what is the twist of the barrel? I would start there and if no front sights are available, sell it? Also check the barrel crown? and for anything obvious? if there is, that's a good reason to return it? ;)
Oh ya, does it "group" even low/right? if not and it's a "shotgun" pattern it could be the slide?, however it's new? but sometimes in my experience when a barrel change doesn't work, it's the slide, I'm not really sure why?? technically, but after the change the pistol now shoots.

One final thought? If??? you get stuck with it, start looking for a new barrel?

...25 yards is a decent ways out for irons. A minor change will have a dramatic effect on your POI. Adjusting out 8" of windage at 25 is nothing. Move in to under 10, shoot, make your adjustments. Adjust your hold (6 oclock) for elevation, or buy an adjustable rear. Like coldfire said, a different bullet weight may also fix your elevation POI.

From what you've said they seem consistent, so it seems like there's nothing really wrong with the guns.

So the gun is accurate you just need to adjust the sights and/or ammo.

I would think the same, try with different ammo, as far as the sights go these come with non adjustable rear, the last thing I would want to do is have to upgrade sights with a gun that is brand new to me just for sub par accuracy, this is disheartening to hear, and the first I've heard of 2 girsans with same issue

we tried...store bought ammo.....115 & 124.....we tries my reloads. tried everything we had. Same poor results.

To hit my 8x8 targets , I had to aim almost a foot Left & Aim over a foot high. Its ridiculous LOL. I dont think adjustable sites would even correct this.
My buddy never did hit the plates !
I am a long distance handgun shooter and all of my handguns will hit a 12inch plate at 100yards except my 44 Cap N ball.
25 yards should be childs play.
I have a Np29 that will take down the plates at 50yards every shot.

I am an excellent handgun distance shooter and have surprised many at the range with my skills. I have "distance shot" for 25 years

in my humble opinion this girsan is a 7 yard gun at best.

both guns terrible. his and mine. how does a pistol have such Poor point of Aim ? I simply cant believe what I am seeing .
Must be something in the manufacturing.

I had an old 38 hammerless Enfild in 38 s&w that was completely worn out that shot better.

Holy crap, sell it then. Are you posting here looking for validation?

When everyone almost unanimously agrees that it's not nearly the world ending problem you make it out to be...

You can hit a 12" Plate from 100 yards away with reg sights ?!?

Ok, clearly I need more practice.

I'd contact the company? and see what they say? maybe it turns out better for you? and your not stuck with a "paper weight" . Good Luck.

I am just truly Amazed that basically 2 of the same guns can be soooooo far out of wack.
Its absolutely laughable.

I never owned a gun that "couldn't hit a barn door" until now.

and ya..I'm stuck with it. Not sure what will become of it...doesnt really matter.

however....if you own one or you have the same accuracy issues....please share.
I tossed in the dark back corner of my gun cabinet where it will never see the light of day.....LOL

life is to short to even care about it. I will never buy another or take one on trade.....

just list it on EE if you hate it that much.

I tried the default values on Dawson's sight calculator. File off about 0.1" off the FSP and it'll get you in the ballpark. Plug in actual values and see what the number is though. I've bought a FSP from them in the past for a gun that had a 6 o'clock hold and the new FSP gives it a combat hold. It worked well.

For windage, I've found for my handgun, shifting the RSP about 0.007" in the dovetail moved POI about 1" at 10 yards. Your required adjustment can be easily done on yours if the RSP is driftable.

Guess you best not advertise it on the CGN EE after that range report.

The girsan is not a target gun. Stick it in a vise and shoot it and will probably do great. Many guys struggle at 7-10.

Shoot 5 yards at move up.
