Semi Auto Options For $1200

I thought about building one but shopping on the net right now is a pig in the poke, retailers stock on parts is low. I did not want to start a build and then be stuck finding out a part to complete the project is out of stock.

So I just got a Ruger competition. So far pleased with fit and finish, have not shot it as I am looking for a scope and mounts

I did replace the steel bolt buffer.

How are you liking the competition. I am having a hard time deciding this and a built DLASK.

I think I would go with Dlask do to Rugers pricing.

Have not shot it yet, still deciding on scope and then what is the correct base height. Think I am going with a FFP scope. Now how much moa do I need?

Send request to Cabela’s on the covenant tactical4x16x44 how much vertical and horizontal moa adjustment the scope has, I like the price point.

I like the vortex tactical 4x16x 44 which has 80 moa( I think). Not sure on pricing but everyone who carries it all have the same price of $499.99 just can’t pull the trigger on it due to pricing.

Trying to get the correct rings to match the scope and clears the barrel. Asking the same question by email or by phone getting different info from retailers is frustrating.

I was going to say, what do you expect from a $300 plinker but I see they are friggin 5-700 new for a basic plastic stock blued one, definitely way overpriced now, damn

I saw some for $350 from a dealer on here yesterday. I saw sales prices in the $280-300 in the past year as well, so affordable models still exist... I think all of those $280-350 ones don't come with sights. I could be wrong on that though, I didn't really look into them but I don't remember seeing front sights on em.
