.The 38 super is slightly rimmed and has a larger OD rim than the 9mm. I wouldn't consider that as comparable to shooting 40 out of a 10, or 45 out of a 460, or 38 sp out of a 357.
All I know is it works.

Usually when there's a gun I want, but don't need, I just wait for them to sell out.
But it's been months(it seems), and these things are still in stock!
What's a fella to do? My resistance is getting low.![]()
Anybody get a SN higher than 1215?
This thing hardly seems like a good gun, honestly I'm glad I didn't bother.
11.0gr of IMR Blue was also good, and a more mild 1040 fps. (All testing was with 180 gr plated RN bullets). This load is pleasant to shoot, but is only a hot 40 S&W velocity.
Still waiting for my Reg. certificate to go to the range...☹☹☹☹ Didn't the 10mm service loads eventually devolve into a relatively mild-powered round, and then mutate into the .40S&W? That would make sense for a relatively light service sidearm.
OK. Went to the range today to make a final test to see what load I will use.
After testing I chonyed the ammo.
The best grouping load is 13.5g of AA9. This turned out to be 1200 fps and felt too stout for long shooting sessions.

I will clean up my brass and load it 50 - 50 with these 2 loads.
25 yards Standing with 2 hand hold

I shoot, on average, twice a week. Have been doing so for about 50 years. Never been asked to produce a reg cert. Not even once.
