what gets me is that people forget things that the liberals have done to mess up our country. then they vote them in anyways.

This is literally the only thing that matters in regards to Canadian firearms debate unfortunately. Blathering on about "The Jews" and saying dumb things from James Keegstra's newsletter doesn't help. Obvious the Ottawa and Toronto elites are NEVER going to like us, that doesn't mean we go accelerationist and become the right wing death squad boogeyman they fantasize about. There's still a centrist 50/50 con/lib middle class suburban demo (despite Trudeau's best efforts) that exists to win over.
 
As someone who just quit his full time job to open a small business I have never been more worried than I am now.
 
Biggest thing here that a lot of people are forgetting is that Canadians don't vote people in,we vote them out. We don't care who the next guy is as long as he's better then the last guy. And a lot of people have been looking at the conservative offshoots, and while they have a better platform for the most part. And I agree with bout 90% of what they say. However they are useless if they can't get elected. Which they can't/won't.

Basic numbers we are liberal country. Politics is downstream of culture. The govts are liberal cause the people Liberal and culture is liberal. The left leaning can argue amongst themselves how far left of Mao they want to be because the have the luxury of the numbers to do so. The right does not. Splitting the party's will accomplish little,playing the long game only works when the majority is on your side. Looking like the way things are headed we can't afford to experiment. Thing's are getting bad. We need to correct before they get worse.

Until 75% of Canada is Conservative 3rd rate parties with great ideas are pointless. The maritimes would have to be solid blue block stronghold before that happens. Politics is local, and people vote locally.

As for the community being "toxic" we really aren't that toxic as a whole. Only on the surface. The left is actually far far more toxic,and if your one of them you wont know till you cross the fence how toxic they really are. I've lived with them and among them.I know how they think. They have no idea how conservative minds work. They are far more toxic and the amount of mental illness they have going on every Noggin Dr. Could pay off Canada's debt in a week.

Long story short vote CPC. Do I wish for a purple wave? Yes. Will it happen? Not for 50 years. Your vote is ultimately your vote. Do what you want with it. Realistically I encourage you clinch your chicklets and, vote for the tool. Or were done as a community. F*** your feelings. We need Trudeau out more then we need anyone in.

But since I'm away from home for work during this likely campaign (In the federal minister for graphic designs riding) I'll be trying the help the local CPC candidate. I'll be giving the CPC money ( great for tax purposes) and I'll be voting for them despite not actually being a conservative.
 
They are drawing the lines to divide voters already. Today it was announced that all federal public servants, including RCMP and CAF, and all federally regulated sectors (banks, railways, etc) will be required to be vaccinated in the next 2 1/2 months.

That is an incorrect assessment and Ducks unlimited should certainly answer for their Lead being on the CFAC.... You can't take one position and a contradictory one and expect to not be called out on it and especially on something like guns in Canada considering our current situation...

I won't derail the thread by going further but that is a complete lack of context....

I would also note that not all hunters are pro gun so there is a dichotomy there politically as well....

Trudeau hasn't even finished sending out all that free federal stimmy money yet. Don't bet on the people who haven't had to work for 2 years betting against the welfare gravy train.
 
If i had a dollar for everytime since the last federal election the CPC told me a snap election was eminent; id have like 5 dollars now lol i aint holding my breath.
 
We have close friends that are considering leaving the country if things get mishandled by Lieberals.
And i am sure they are not the only middle-upper class citizens that can't and won't take this scheisse for long.
