The more commonly reported 4moa is the main turn off for me when it comes to these rifles.... owners of the "short handguard" models like Black Bear Outdoors have reported and demonstrated far better accuracy. However i really wish u shot 5 shot groups for ur accuracy test to better seal the consistency. My SKS rifles will sometimes shoot 1-2moa 3 shot groups as well.
Like a lot of guys here I was kind of interested in them at first, until M&M shafted the supplier who worked on getting them registered here with the rcmp and went with a different group and then jacked the price by claiming they were suddenly DMR rifles, or did I remember that wrong ?
This is the true crime in prohibiting VZ58's. They were dead nuts reliable, accurate and lots of aftermarket do-dads.
Strange you consider that to be the true crime and not the arbitrary gun grabs. This is the true crime in prohibiting VZ58's. They were dead nuts reliable, accurate and lots of aftermarket do-dads.
One additional factor is that TIs optic rail Mount will finally ready within two weeks. Combine that with their new slant break, and their free shipping and drum mag sale, the Type 81 becomes an even better alternative.
Kodiak just started shipping 7.62x39 mm WKs to compete against the MCR. If you request one built with the steel upper, it will come with a non-screw in charging handle, which should not break. You can get an adjustable gas block for the WK and MCR to tune the gas system for minimum stress with your ammo of choice.
Finally, the new firearm in town, the J180, has just begun its shipping journey from Jard to its Canadian distributor, Sylvestre. You can use the build kit in concert with AR parts to make a novel firearm that impinges an AR180 style recoil system with direct gas impingement. One of bolt faces available with the kit supports 7.62x39 mm.

How is this going? Two more weeks?
The LMG with everything on it is 10.14 pounds, 1 pound heavier then an M14, hell I've carried Garands all day that weighed that. That's only for the lmg which is way to heavy even with bipod removed to be practical so this point is moot
I wonder how the M10x is doing in the US market?

Amazing seeing generations go from carrying those rifles all day every day, to it just being to much for a walk in the woods.
