I think that the optic will be OK, provided that the ejection is oblique rather than vertical. If empty casings do ding the objective end of the optic I will swap it out for a mini or micro red-dot that will sit further back on the Pic rail. There are plenty of alternative options. A short, fixed-power Prismatic sight also fits and works quite well while avoiding the ejection path for empty casings

Same here. Be nice to know if it has shipped, my CP delivery person rarely leaves delivery notifications, tracking number is usually the only way I know my parcels are at the PO.

You might have to log into the Tactocal imports website to see your tracking number, I never got a shipping notification and only know my tracking number because I checked my account
 
Just received mine today. Tactical Imports site still says that the order is processing. Reasonably fast delivery all things considered.

Fit and finish is slightly rough but by surplus rifle standards it's pretty decent. Better than the first run of 81's I think.

Would it just show under order status? I don't believe mine has updated, just says "order processing"
 
My Picatinny folder with sling and 5x Magazines arrived today in good order. The Burris RT-6 seems well-suited to this particular platform. The fit and finish, particularly the internals, are (happily) far better than my earlier experiences with Norinco products.

We recommend keeping the ejection port clear, in testing we found the brass can have a tendency to hit anything that was covering the ejection port. Best placement is 1-2 notches from end of rail to keep things brass-strike free

First, I would like to thanks for TI bring type 81 back to Canada which is not a easy job. But when I received my package and released my type 81 has problems, then I want to contact TI for a solution. Unfortunately, they never asked the phone call, just automatically transfer to the voice box. Says With in one business day, but two days gone, I still haven’t received any phone call from them yet. I tried to contact them by email. Same thing, two days no response.

If anyone wants to contact TI, I suggest you don’t call them, send them email to wait. They won’t response you on the phone call, automatically transfer to voice box.

Holy #### dude, its almost like they're EXTREMELY BUSY TRYING TO SHIP OUT HUNDREDS OF RIFLES OR SOMETHING.

That’s the kettle calling the pot black, I can barely make out half the stuff you post, you’re in no position to comment on the communication skills of anyone.

I’ve been in contact with TI twice this week and made an order this morning, I’ve been answered every time. Try being considerate of how busy they are and give them the same respect you expect back from them and I guarantee you’ll get somewhere, they’re good folks, they will take care of you.
 
Folks, one thing I've learned is that Canadian gun owners are some of the biggest whiners and complainers on the face of the earth......just sayin'.

TI, Please don't take us seriously sometimes....please. We love the awesome hardware you sell and we will continue to buy for years to come.
