Best budget 1911 no norincos

Well there are the norincos....

you know... cheap... good... built like tanks... no plastic (oh sorry, polymer..)...
 
Best budget? I guess that would depend on the budget. Don't overlook the Remington R1. The one I had was extremely smooth, accurate and reliable. I would buy another.
 
Have a stainless SAM 9MM Commander that's been pretty decent, not sure what the prices are like these days but they use to be cheap like Norinco, much better in the fit/finish department.
RIA would be another one worth looking at.
 
I tried SAM but was not impressed with quality. Parts were not interchangable with Colt's, and finish was not durable.

I had an old Colt with many missing parts, and I put some Norinco parts in it. It was amazing that every part fits perfectly and everything functions 100%. Wow.
 
If you aren't stuck on a 1911, the Italian police surplus Model 92 pistols are a steal under $500 and lots of after market upgrades if you want them later.

Double action trigger as well.

The Mod 92 Beretta is almost as well known for reliability and accuracy as the 1911

Crappy triggers with long reset.
 
Sa 35 looks interesting, yes what will the price be? As far as 1911 maybe I will go used, want to spend no more than 800$, but sorry I rather not buy from China some things I have no choice but firearms I have s choice. I just missed a used colt series 70, too bad I did not grab it faster.
