Honestly, buy a wood stocked 557 in a calibre of your choice with a 20" barrel and iron sights, and then add a 10-round mag kit. It will be a bit lighter and just as good.
Yeah, very nice. Tenda had an identical rifle with iron sights on sale for $699 ! (Not the Eclipse model). It took every ounce of will power (and I don't have much) not to buy it. Thankfully, a nutter picked it up on my advice.

I have to say I'm impressed that CZ put a pic rail on the Range Rifle that actually lets you see the iron sights through the grove! None of the CZ rails with groves I have tried on other models (550s) would allow using the irons.
The one I got is marked 2021.

this one is the long action and the 308 short action kit shown will not fit it
I did mine the cheaper way, had a new 243 carbine and a spare 308 ranger rifle, had a local gun smith do the swap, time the barrels and do the head spacing, so now ive got a surplus 308 walnut carbine to sell and a true short action, 243 10 round ranger, just gonna pop the NECG sight on it and its ready
Nice, I like the way you did it. Cost effective and looks 100% OEM.
Thanks, fired it this afternoon, gonna try it tomorrow with the peep on it
I find the factory sights second to none. Fast target acquisition !
