There are lots of info online and youtube. A dent can be ironed out with a towel soaked in warm or hot water and (obviously) an iron (don't tell the misses but clean it after).

Thanks for the dent related advice.. It is indeed a lot of info available but there are different ways of doing the same thing and it's hard to tell which one works well without having some relevant experience. Thus asking about it here.
 
Anybody have any tips on removing the launcher pin? Mine feels like it's welded in there, or there is crazy pressure on the pin somehow. It will not budge with a punch and hammer, clamped to a bench. Would like to avoid taking a grinder to it.

Try to drop some penetrating oil into that pin maybe, Kroil usually works fine in these kind of cases

Try hitting it from the other side.

Some can be really stuck in there, but firstly I'd suggest using a proper 3mm punch. Having it soak in kroil for a day or two might help. Apply a bit of heat too.

If all that fails, it can be drilled out (if you have the right setup to drill accurately). A 3mm pin is easy to replace.

Anyone else have this dumb flakey paint on their gas tube? I was cleaning my gun and I didnt realize where all these black paint flakes were coming from when they appeared on my floor, i hit it with a bit of gun oil and it started shedding like crazy

Yes, all of them as far as I know. I remove the paint with steel wool and cold blue. Looks better IMHO

Hey I have a type81 , and want to put a scope on it . How hard is this to do? I’m a beginner . Any help is appreciated. Thanks.hopefully it’s something pretty simple. :)
 




Believe it or not, the one in the middle is actually my favorite.

I really like the LMG a LOT better with the 'rifle' stock. It feels a lot less bulky. Having a flash hider on it is nice, too.
