Let's see some pic's of your SxS's & O/U's

Fantastic gun. Wonderful decoration (would love to see the maple leaf). Great story.

This is the sort of gun that reminds me why I enjoy this subject. New and newer guns just don't do it for me.

If I hit the right keys, a maple leaf will appear.

I know a little about that gun,the repatriated Scotsman /maker worked at McNaughton or Dickenson not sure if he made it complete here in Canada or brought it over in some state of completion
I was quite interested in the gun but the hole in the bottom of the frame was a turn off

Beautifully engraved gun, didn't know such work was ever done in Canada. Always a learning experience here.

I strongly suspect that the engraving was done in England or Scotland and represents some of the best engraving available at that time. The maple leaf was most likely done knowing that the Stark family were coming to Canada and wanted a special touch representing their new homeland.

Yes, there is a piece broken off on the underside of the receiver. The metal at that point is almost paper thin. Perhaps the receiver was rejected by Dickson management for that reason. I can't image that Dickson would want to have a gun of their make with that rather obvious weakness. Repairing/replacing the missing/broken metal would be a daunting task. Martin Hagn inspected this gun and shook his about such a repair.

My very first gun I've owned that's mine, not a hand-me-down, not surplus, brand new and mine. 12ga Huglu Hammer, just came in the mail on Monday, and I wanna share her with you all.

Very classy! One of our club members has one of these with 30” barrels, he’s put thousands of rounds through it shooting trap over the last couple of years and it’s been flawless, it appears to be a great value.

Very nice Carlo. Your first new gun is always special. Love you bought a SxS hammer gun. That Huglu will outlast you, more than likely.
Welcome to the hammer club!
Very nice, CarloNord.
Two sets of barrels?

I wanted something that would last my life, so I went with something simple, tough, reliable (I hope), and versatile. And what's simpler and more versatile than a 12ga?

Anyways, ya, I got the two sets of barrels because I wasn't sure if I wanted something shorter or longer, I have little experience with guns, so I sprung for both, with screw in chokes in both barrels to really fine tune what I want. Definitely glad to be part of the hammer club, just so much more charm than #### on open, plus I've got more control over it this way.
