I bought one of the Arms East P7 PSPs, and I'm glad to say it has arrived!

Here are some pics:

High resolution photos that show the extent of the holster wear can be found here

It seems to be in very good condition overall. There was some schmutz in the barrel that I think may have come from the case. The internals look virtually new with less signs of wear than expected...

I'll post a report once I get it out to the range.

Thanks again, Walt!

Newer had a chance to play with one...:( how easy is it to squeeze that grip? can you post pics of it next to other gun(s) for size comparison?

btw is that a picture of Stewie Griffin on the slide and frame next to the S/N? :D

Hey agit-prop, where do you live? I'm in Vancouver and my P7 shipped out on Monday (17th). I imagine yours shipped on Monday as well. I wondering if I will get it today (Friday). I'm still at the office (2:00 p.m. Vancouver time) but I'm ging to head out a bit early for pre-Christmas weekend here. Probably wishful thinking for the notice to have been delivered today. I'm guessing you are somewhere Ontario or East.

Oh well... it will get here soon I suppose. :runaway:

Your P7 is dated coded as 1984. That is what I was expecting. Somewhere around there. The guns looks great. I'll be sure to post pics of mine as soon as I get it.

OK, how about these?

The grip is probably 8 - 10 lbs - not bad if you do it quickly, and it takes much less to hold it in that position once cocked.

Yes, that is Stewie Griffin.

It didn't come with a scraper, only the brush and tool as shown.

Ghostie: I'm just west of Toronto... I hope yours gets there soon...

Thanks for the pic's. I'm in Ont. too but mine hasn't arrived yet. I hope mine looks as good as yours. Is it a big deal that the gas tube scraper is not included?

The scraper is needed to clean the carbon residue that builds up in the gas tube. This is vital to the reliability of the P7 after heavy use. You probably could use the brush but the scraper is tough steel and lasts forever. The tool in your picture is to remove the firing pin.

Guys in the US are always selling scrapers. Or you might be able to get one from anyone in Canada with multiple P7M8's. If they're willing to part with one that is.

I think the squeeze cocker is 14 pounds to ####, and then 4 pounds required to keep it in place.

Beautiful gun, i want an M13 (i like the big grip) but it'll have to wait for a while :(

My P7 PSP actually did arrive today. Woo hoo!

The markings on mine seem to be quite a bit different than yours. On the right side of the slide there is the serial number, then "NDS" inside an oval, then "10/85", then an eagle-type thing in a box with "BWB 318". The serial number and the BWB are repeated on the frame. The BWB thing is also on the barrel. On the left side it has "HECKLER & KOCH GMBH, OBERNDORF/N MADE IN W-GERMANY, 9mmx19". The left side of the frame has the HK logo and then "HKI Trussville AL".

I'm assuming that this means the gun was made in October of 1985, but it is interesting that it doesn't use the date codes of other HK's. I wonder if these are markings particular to a police agency? Anybody have any ideas?

I'm going to do a whole picture thread on mine when I get the time. Here are a couple of pics I took today. It's going to the range tomorrow afternoon. I'll have some pictures of targets then.

It's pretty small compared with a USP - Especially considering the USP has a barrell only 2mm longer.

Got mine today as well! Mine is older than the other 2 posted but still seems to be in VG shape with a bit of holster wear on the top left hand side of the slide. I am quite happy with it and glad I stocked up on mags this summer!

DAR, did you buy up PSP mags in the exchange over the last few months? I know a few were in there. I actually didn't have final confirmation of the number of mags that I would be able to get from Walt until fairly recently (which is, 1 extra mag). Where there is a demand, mags will start making their way to customers in this country I'm sure.

One of the cool things about the mags is, despite only holding 8 rounds, there is no issue of being pinned or neutered for civillian consumption. The mags are what they are for everybody.

DAR, the markings on your gun are similar to mine. What the hell are NDS and BWB though? I'd really like to know.

The NDS is short for NieDerSachen, as in Landespolizei Niedersachsen (State Police Lower Saxony).

From what I've found on other sites, the BWB stands for “Bundesamt für Wehrtechnik und Beschaffung” or “Federal Bureau of Military Technical Procurement.”

This website explains some of my questions, in the "refurbs" section:

http://www.gunfaqs.org/P7FAQ/

There seems to have been guns imported from the "BMI" police agency, and the "BYP" policeagency. This would suggest that our guns are from "Nds" police agency. Now I have to figure out what that means.

Oops. Agit-Prop answered my questions while I was typing. Thanks.

So what is BMI and BYP? Knowing German would come in handy right about now.

“BMI” is “Bundesministerium des inneren” - federal interior ministry, which points to either customs or federal police, which are both attached to that ministry.

BYP = Bayerischen Landespolizei - Bavarian State Police
