H&K P7 PSP has arrived!

Then HK label on the plastic case mine came with had both the serial number and "Grade B" printed on it.

I specifically photographed mine to show the holster wear so everyone could get a clear idea of what "Grade B" really means. When photographed with a flash the wear points are much less obvious, as these 2 pics show.

Are the guns pictured above Grade B or Grade C? They seem to have a lot of holster wear compared to other PSP pics I've seen on the net.

Yah, what Agit-prop said. They are all grade B. The guns obviously spent a large amount of time in leather holsters over many years, but the internals, the bore and the mags are all way better than I expected. They look almost new to me. And, as I have tried to show in my posts, the gun has been more than a pleasant surprise as a shooter. Overall I am very pleased with mine - and I think the other guys would say the same.

Just in case there is anyone who thinks I haven't posted enough PSP pictures :p, here are a few more.

I took the grips off to clean out the whole mechanics of the gun and re-lube it. I would recommend this for anyone that buys one, as it actually seemed pretty gritty in there. I did shoot like 150 rounds before doing this though. The slide-stop mechanism is on the left side, trigger mechanism on the right side. You can see how that weird little "button" works - which you can use to engage the slide stop when the mag isn't in the gun.

The grips come off by unscewing the screws and then sliding them forward. The book says not to try and pry them up, and I'm sure that is good advice.

The firing pin and it's carrier will come out if you take the little tool that comes with the gun, press it into the back of the slide and turn it a one-quarter turn to the right (clockwise). The firing pin carrier are one unit when they come out, but it doesn't take much imagination to see how they fit together. You press it in turn it so that "shark fin" engages the catch. To reassemble the pin and carrier into the gun, just slide it back in and then take the wrench and press it in even further, so that it is a couple mm below the back of the gun, then turn it a one quarter turn to the left so that the notch is vertical.

Have you seen the Grade C? They look nothing like the Grade B. There were apparently very few grade Cs, and the ones that I've seen pics of show heavy external wear, deep scrapes, etc, they look very used, though were also refurbed internally as required. The Grade B is supposed to be very little internal wear, and showing more holster wear than Grade A. HKs selection seems accurate, most show a rub along the top of the slide and high point polishing. There are varying amounts of holster wear, but nothing that would be confused with the Grade C guns, the pics of which I've seen look like they spent their lives loose in a tool box.

These were Grade B (the only available), as advertised. Did you happen to see the advertisement on our web site? Clearly states Grade B.

There were very few Grade A released, much more expensive, they apparently were basically NIB. I saw them listed, but were never listed as available, I assume someone bought the lot of them before release.

Cheers,
Walt

I'll get to see mine tomorrow and RTG shipped my holsters out on the 28th so I'm looking forward to seeing them at some point too...

The Actually sounded interested that is after she laid claim to my new VLS... And of course I'm too broke to buy another rifle right now...

So for a woman who doesn't have her license yet she's doing pretty good... an SKS, a Ruger Mk II , the 700 VLS and a PSP... And if she gets her license I'll give her a short AR to make sure she gets any grandfathering if they decide to screw that up on us...
