They may want to wait until the Coq reopens in late January before shipping them from the Port of Vancouver to Alberta for distribution. I think they're only letting essential supplies through on the 2 lane mountain highways that remain open , so we don't know if a firearms shipment would be allowed through. Plus it's the Christmas shipping season further complicated by the BC flood related road closures, so it may make sense to wait on shipping until January regardless of the truck getting through on a non-Coq route. And TI has learned it's no use selling them until you have them in hand to ship :p

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there,
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air . . .

this was posted on nov 30, 2020 in the lmg thread. not related to this rifle shipment but they indicated they dont like to ship in december.

this doesnt mean it will be up for sale jan 1.

Should arrive around mid-December. Postal system is going to be a disaster though we're going to wait until 1st week of January before putting up for sale. We'll make official announcement and launch date/time in advance so people have more time to prepare this time around :)

so funny, holding the bipod.

thats true, some drum do stick but if they should worked it several time, it gets better.

Just an update guys, the shipment cleared customs in November but due to Vancouver Port container backlog it is was only picked up this week. In order to avoid Canada Post Christmas madness and to give our staff some much needed R&R for the holidays we decided to push releasing until 1st week of January, most likely the 3rd or 4th. Happy holidays :)

Before the truck with the container from Vancouver leaves for the Alberta distribution point, has Tactical Imports made sure the shipment will be allowed through with the travel restrictions from the highway damage, https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/natural-disaster/support/restrictions#travel ?

Government of BC said:
Restrictions on non-essential travel along severely damaged highways
This content is a summary of the Emergency Program Act (EPA) Ministerial Orders 450/2021 (PDF, 813KB), 453/2021 (PDF, 627KB), 459/2021 (PDF, 768KB), 461/2021 (PDF, 761KB) and 495/2021 (PDF, 761KB). It is not legal advice and does not provide an interpretation of the law. In the event of any conflict or difference between this webpage and the order, the order is correct and legal and must be followed.

Under the EPA, an order restricting non-essential travel along severely damaged highways is in place.

Highway Restricted highway segment Essential reasons for travel
Highway 99

From the junction of Highway 99 and Lillooet River Road to the BC Hydro Seton Lake Campsite access in Lillooet

All essential purposes, as defined in the Ministerial Order.

Note: Vehicles under 14,500 kilograms only, unless authorized by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure district manager.

Highway 3

From the junction of Highway 5 and Highway 3 in Hope to the west entrance to Princeton from Highway 3

All essential purposes, as defined in the Ministerial Order.

Reasons allowed for travel (essential trips)
You can only travel on the highway segments for essential reasons:

Transporting essential goods and supplies, for example:
Food, water and other beverages
Fuel and gasoline
Health care goods, pharmaceuticals and medical supplies
Personal hygiene, sanitation and cleaning goods
Transporting livestock, agricultural or seafood products and supplies
Livestock producers, veterinarians and support workers travelling to provide care for animals
Responding to emergencies, including search and rescue operations
Evacuations for medical reasons and urgent medical treatment
Transporting essential personnel
Highway and infrastructure repair and maintenance
Commercially transporting goods and supplies
Returning to your principal residence (home),
Includes picking up a person who resides at your place of residence and is returning home
Returning a child to their principal residence
Includes families with shared custody
Moving your principal residence
Going to work as essential personnel
Picking up your child from a post-secondary institution to return home
Assisting vulnerable or at-risk people
Exercising an Aboriginal or treaty right as recognized and affirmed by section 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982
Media members travelling to report on the flooding and mudslides

I hate to be a spoil sport, but if the shipment doesn't match the above and gets stopped, TI would be out the cost of shipping to the point of stoppage and back to Vancouver. If its going to be stopped, its better it sits in place until non-essential trips are cleared or the Coquihalla Highway reopens (though their may be an announcement on a sooner then expected re-opening shortly).

Would it cost TI money? I assume they don't actually own and run shipping trucks, they pay a company to do it and if that companies truck gets turned around the shipping company is out of money not TI.

Shipping company: we broke the law and got fined 10k please gibe money /s

Good point, it probably depends on the terms of the contract.

If you think a trucking company will hand out refunds instead of charging you for storage costs, and costs for returning the product, I got a bridge to sell you.
