The 760/7600 Club

I have used them for decades, but only in magnums. Mostly .300 win mag and .340 weatherby . I would think (but don’t know) that a cup and core bullet would do well at .308 velocity’s.

Millions of deer and other game have been shot with cup and core bullets. But for at least 30 years I have used Nosler Partitions in my hunting ammo, regardless of cartridge, and have been very pleased with the results. I did have one failure, I think it was a .308 (but might have been a 6.5 x 55), I shot a buck at a measured 100 yards and he did not react. Second shot he fell in his tracks. Later when I skinned him out, I found both bullet holes. The first one had passed through without hitting bone and did not apparently expand, although it would have killed the deer by taking out the lungs. But pretty well every other critter was a bang flop. I like these bullets! :d

I wonder if the new Remington will manufacture these again.

I would be surprised to see 7600s being made again. My guess is they will stick to 700's, 870 and a semi shotgun, maybe a .22. The money is in efficiency, and having 40 different models isn't.
