Hey all! Haven't seen a lot out there on experience with IBI except for some poor reviews when they started out. I just wanted to share my experience with them. I have now ordered two barrels with them and I can surely say I am very impressed. Ryan at IBI has been a great help throughout the process of ordering and making a couple very oddball requests and quickly to boot. The barrels were made in about 6 weeks which is honestly as good as it gets in my experience! The barrels look great inside as well with the attached photo showing typical quality of the barrel. The accuracy has been top notch as well. Overall I am incredibly impressed and more than happy to support our Canadian barrel maker IBI!

I have installed a few IBI barrels. While setting up for threading and chambering through the head stock I was impressed with with them... I certainly wouldn't hesitate to use one for myself.

Thats good to hear. I only have 1 of their barrels I got used and haven't played with it much. Does anyone know if their 6br chamber is a no neck turn? I've emailed and tried calling a few times with no response.

I have not shot one yet , but installed a carbon fibre 280AI on a Savage Ultralight for a friend .
He bought it used , but when I scoped it it looked extremely well cut .

I've built several rifles with them all 1/2 MOA, and my next project is a 6.5 PRC will sporting one. Top shelf company and staff.

I’ve posted this before, and I’ll be quick once again.

My .260 barrel on my AI was stupid accurate. My technique on the bench always sucked so getting my 108 Gr SCENARS printing under 0.300” was really a challenge. I just SUCK at shooting from the bench. Between burps and farts and heartbeats, this baby was boringly routine and accurate. I mean I did not have the skills to out shoot this barrel. My handloads could have been better and also the idiot behind the trigger coulda used a sorting out!!

If you are waiting to (metaphor warning  ) pull the trigger then go right ahead. You will not regret this move. I’ve owned and competed with Krieger, Rob McLennan, Benchmark, and Douglas barrels in my competition career of 37 years and IBI is better than I can be. And for the record, I do have a bunch of DCRA NSCC gold medals, just not as many as Ryan IBI Longshot has. :dancingbanana:

I forgot to mention that I’m always shooting off an Atlas (real deal) bipod. Maybe one of these days I should use a more serious front rest?? LOL

Hope this helps…

Peace Be The Journey!

Cheers, Barney

So all their barrels are custom-made? The prefit options on IBI's website look temptingly like in-stock items that might show up within days of ordering, but I guess a longer timeframe for a winter build project is more likely.

Can confirm. My IBI barrel is basically a cheat code. This is my .22 at 100M (109 yards)

I have 3 IBI barrels myself (22lr, 6mm CR and 308) and all are excellent quality and are more precise then i can be. 308 barrel gets 0.2 moa and 6mm CR gets 0.3 moa (with really quick and dirty load development).

Couldn't be happier!!!
