Looks like Springfield Armory is going to be releasing a licensed copy of the HS Produkt VHS assault rifle. Maybe we'll get it imported into Canada in 3 years or so if the RCMP give their blessing.ddr4a72wdhb81.jpg

HS Produkt manufacture XDM pistols for SA. The quality is top notch. Dunno how they bypass "major components should be made in USA" requirement, maybe it's only for rifles? Anyway, we don't have this bs, so we can get those rifles directly shipped from Europe. However I haven't heard about semi version yet and it will take years to get FRT.

Let's be real by the time these get FRT either all semi autos will be banned or AR-15's will be legal again. It's a nice pipe dream though.

922r is weird no more than 10 (out of a list of 20) major parts can be imported. If you look at the pics of the Hellion on Springfield's site you see a magpul magazine (which counts as 3 parts in itself.) A BCM? grip, the barrel and muzzle break appears to be different from the VHS so they're probably US made.

It's funny that anyone actually think the RCMP will be deeming anything new coming to market semi auto as non restricted or even restricted .
