Even if it's declared legal by the RCMP, the State Department will never allow it to be exported because it's considered a non sporting firearm. Just look at the PS-90's and FS2000's.

Nope, but Microtech has said their gun is not an AUG. It is up to the FRT lab to decide. For us getting an Austrian AUG will still be easier due to export permits being trouble these days.So if they let the MSAR-556 into Canada would that mean the Steyr AUG would be taken off the prohib list?
