i purchases kobra and sold the unit but kept the rail that is another possiblity or be patient with the options provided by ustauk.
Me too, Hope Murray is done soon with the testing and other accessories. He is a bit of a perfectionist, so hope this will be available soon.
I have several Russian scopes which I used on my CZ and VZ, just collecting dust. Not interested at all in wasting money on stuff I don't need, especially an old style red dots or Chinese side mounts.
Just got mine. Fixed stock not or. I'm happy with it for the price. Receiver dust cover is thinner than I expected. Fair amount of light scratches on left side of receiver, kind of annoying. See pics

Mail call...my first thoughts are I wish it was blued with blonde finish like my 2017 folder. Other then that its a Type 81 and I am very happy with it.

I'm with you. I really prefer the blued-with-blonde-furniture version as well.

Personal preference, for sure. I liked the photos of the newer 'special edition' ones when I saw them, and they are definitely more 'Russian AKM'-like, but comparing one in person to the older blued, blonde one, my preference is clear. If I could have taken the furniture from my LMG before I sold it and put it on my SE, I totally would have. I've always preferred blondes to redheads, so I suppose none of this is a surprise!

Agreed, I prefer the blued to park. I might end up refinishing the wood a more russian red or blonde.

Well, there is always the colouring book.
The most appealing features are the shorter barrel and of course the grenade launcher. That thing looks awesome.

Haha, no, I would have swapped the handguards and pistol grip, but the lower LMG handguard is not compatible with the rifle. I'm quite happy with my aftermarket stock
