TOZ-78 Rifle

I've read of the TOZ-78, a semiauto .22 cadet rifle that the USSR used that looks interesting, I was wondering if that was ever available in Canada or where I could start looking for one. They seem cool, and I sort of want a semiauto rifle and not the bolt action TOZ-17 that is more common. Thanks in advance guys!

I think you're looking for a TOZ 99, they were sold under the Winchester Wildcat trade label or something similar not too long ago. I can recall fiddling with one at a Canadian Tire in 2015. It seemed like a nicely made rifle. Gun shows would be your best bet, also the EE.

The Toz-99 was nice enough, Armrus imported a bunch of them... the sears would often fail, parts are hard to come by

This was the biggest issue with them....they liked to break, and no spare parts.

the 78 is a bolt action but, for a cheap gun, its crazy accurate. Ringing 8" plates off hand at 100m is almost boring with it.
