TOZ-78 Rifle

I think you're looking for a TOZ 99, they were sold under the Winchester Wildcat trade label or something similar not too long ago. I can recall fiddling with one at a Canadian Tire in 2015. It seemed like a nicely made rifle. Gun shows would be your best bet, also the EE.
 
I've started to put some somne information on TOZ firearms brought into North America on this google site here. I still have more photos to add once I get back to it again. I'd really love to know if anyone has information on where they were sold in Canada, as I've searched newspaper archives, and I'm not coming up with anything for old advertizements. is there a single (bolt action) rimfire that can't do this? Serious Q.

Those new mags must be some of the rarest things I've seen on this sight. In 4 years, I've only ever seen 1 for sale.
 
This is my semi-automatic TOZ-99. Production year 2010. I purchased it in 2015 for about $230, brand new in an original box. It is a nice, very light weight 22LR carbine. Very pointable. Accuracy/precision on par with a standard Ruger 10/22. At 100y the average grouping is about 2.4" +-0.6" SD (an average for 10x5 shot groups; 3x red dot) with CCI standard velocity ammo. I don't shoot it very frequently. So far, it has 2,040 shots through the pipe. I only shoot standard velocity 22LR rounds. So far, no problems whatsoever. Disassembly is easy peasy. However, one must be very careful with assembly because there is a very long striker spring in the bolt which can be easily mangled when it is being inserted back.

I bought mine about 10 years ago from a guy that told me he had a Winchester. 22 hidden in his attic because he didn't want his grown son to find it. I told him I'd give him $200 bucks for it right there just by going by it being a "Winchester .22"

I was pretty disappointed when he pulled that out and I seen the made in Russia as I hadn't heard of TOZ before, Or know that Winchester put there name on them.

Got 3 mags with it, Took it home and gave it a good cleaning then went to shoot it.

I was so impressed, Its nice and light to carry and the irons are pretty crisp too
