REM arms discontinue 870 Express and Wingmaster!

OK but I don't believe in santa. How long is your barrel just wondering. No idea about video
Let me guess you have one of the five from frontier firearms that magically appeared last spring 5 years after they were made by remington but you know it has the right barrel on it as supplied by the factory
Correct me if I am wrong
take care

Just to clarify please... Are you saying that Frontier Firearms swapped the barrels on these guns, then sold them as genuine Anniversary guns? They are fakes? Not original factory guns? Very concerning what you seem to be implying. Thanks

No I never said they swapped them
I said they had five for sale back in the spring of 2021 that showed up magically from some importer 5 years after they were made by remington that was all and one in the pic when originally listed didnot have the original barrel. So assumed he had one of these five guns
That is all no idea if that pic was the actual 5 guns they sold or not either just that they used the pic which is why I commented on the barrel. In fact they still show one of the five for sale unless the web page is not accurate

Cheers

I guess putting a box magazine on most traditional pump action shotguns is the financial kiss of death.

I love seeing stuff like this. Makes my originals worth so much more :)
Some will buy just about anything that is clear today and then proclaim they are a true remington roller
To each their own I say

please do not listen to this misinformation...there was no 'barrel swapping' going on. As to these mentioned pics (the first 2 with the white background) with the so called mysterious non stamped barrel, simply do a google search for this gun and you will see many many different dealers/stores used those exact pictures for their sites as those were the promo pictures put out by Remington when gun was originally announced. The person making these claims should just call Frontier and ask instead of throwing random claims out

The person ME has never said Frontier swapped anything just the pic used back in may has a swapped barrel. That is all after 8 pages of BS and I could not careless other than pointing it out in case there was someone buying what they thought was a complete collector piece since there is still one showing for sale. Like I said I looked at buying one of these in 2016 and the 26" barrel ONLY kept me away
Normally I buy most of the 870 limited runs just like I have a complete set of the browning model 12's NIB NO different
For all I know they may never even sold him a gun but they were the only ones that had one in many years new so assumed it had to be that batch of 5 he bought . Reliant had them also years ago

Well as of your last post you're still implying it was swapped. Maybe some self proclaimed experts need to read their own 'Remington for Dummies' book and do a little more homework and research....very easy nowadays with this interweb thingy we have. And all the bragging about guns he has yet uses file photos from other dealers/sites himself....maybe post pics of your actual NIB stash. I won't lie, I'd love to see them myself as you claim to have some pretty sweet Rems.

Ya OK what ever you think
I have nothing to prove to you or anyone here. I know what I have left and have close 50 rems in 31, 870 and 1100 alone still
I have NIB as far back as the late 70's salted away properly greased and boxes properly stored by them selves
Don't own a cell phone and even if I did not cleaning them for a pic to prove something to you. In fact I think you inquired about the brownings at one time in a PM and I said you would be first on my list when they went. That has sure changed
I have cleaned out 75% of the collection in the past 10 years but shotguns I find very hard to part with still and will more than likely die with what is left and let my daughter sell them off
Read some of my feedback and like one member said who bought a extra 1100 16ga from me. 3macs always has the cool rare stuff and I do in blue collar vintage shotguns
I will put my remaining remington collection up against any collector here that is for sure gun for gun

Short of naming the dealer you sure implied it and now true to form you're backpedaling again...

Like I said enjoy and shoot your new 870 and hope that new BS barrel works out since you won't find another right now anywhere. Also do you not own an old 1100. My god according to spank that thing will blow up any day now
A smart man would not blow up a bridge he may need someday
How is that TSS reloading going for you have not heard anything in quite a while like 2 1/2 months.

Cheers

So this gentleman's brand new 200th Anniversary 870 allegedly from Frontier has a "BS" barrel? Meaning it's fake? .... just trying to clarify. Thanks

no worries as it's just these days theres lots of people boasting about what they have yet routinely never produce evidence, then when questioned reply with the same 'I don't have to prove anything'. And youre right you don't....but after years of all the boasting you have to understand why some may question these claims. And yes i do remember asking about a gun though I don't remember which it was, though i think at the time you gave me the same answer that you'd die with them so I never held out hope hearing from you.
Just curious, why all the talk about NIB and doubling in money if they're just sitting there collecting dust til you die anyways? To each their own I guess, and regardless of these posts on this subject I do appreciate the info you've provided about Remingtons over the years.

I talk about what I have and at my age don't have to boast especially about my shotguns one can get out of hand over 50 years buying them. I have shown many pics of my actual guns here over the years lots of pics when I was selling them but not talking them out of storage to prove a point especially ones that are greased for long term storage. Most NIB I have sold I may have broken even or the ducks unlimited lost money
The very first gun I sold here and my first feedback was a brand new unfired 870 3" mag wingmaster for 500 bucks shipped since I had two . After the last two years that would be double today. I hope the money will help my daughter with her house payment since I don't need it right now
We talked about my new set of browning model 12's. The 12ga, 20ga and the 28ga NIB. I was stupid and didnot buy the 410 model 42 at the time which is strange since I have always bought guns in sets to save not individuals.
But bought a second in 28ga and had briley put tubes in it and shoot that one from time to time
We may have talked about the NIB bps 16ga upland special I have also at one time. This one taken on my kitchen table :) Had it out to sell but changed my mind
All I have left with this one of the bps set is the 4i0 and 28g and yes new sold the rest
My fun is collection and finding them

take care

Too bad it doesn't have a nice polished blue finish to complement the wood. The new Fieldmaster looks like it's cerakoted or some kind of sprayed on/baked on finish? You can see when you zoom in the finish has a truck bed liner look to it.

Looks the same as the express. Don’t you have one?
