Running the PC Carbine Chassis model. Installed the Vortex Venom red dot and found it sat too low and was very small. Probably would have run a lot better with the AR riser, but just switched that over to the Glock 17 where it was designed to work best. Running the Vortex SPARC AR now, mounted on the barrel rail, and it works like a beauty.
Point of interest, for those of us who run back up irons, and are running in to the problem of finding a low enough rail to mount the front sight, Ruger shop sells the proper height rail in the US, manufactured by TSW (The Secret Weapon) who is ultimately a guy named Mark out of New Hampshire. Unfortunately, Ruger won't ship it to Canada, so I ordered directly from TSW. Just installed, and it fits perfectly flush with the barrel and receiver rails. No need to modify the front sight post, or get extra high rear sights. Have seen a lot of people have had this problem, and this guy solved it. Still can't run the MAgpul MBUS because the button sits too low, but the UTG irons fit, work, and 1/3 co-witness perfectly. Will post pics when I get a chance.
