I sent Arken an email on the weekend asking clarification on how they handle Canadian warranties. Heard nothing but crickets so far. I'm kinda in the market for one, but if I can't get a straight answer from anyone it'll likely be a deal breaker.

Here's Arkens warranty: No warranty cards to fill out, no receipts to hang on to, and they are fully transferable from one generation to the next. Simple as that!

For some reason, the warranty is different in Canada? This is from one Canadian retailer (happens to be a sponsor): For Arken products: Limited Lifetime Warranty to original purchaser with proof of Serial number or receipt.

And no clarification on whether the retailer handles the warranty or whether it goes somewhere else! A Vortex is starting to look like a better option. At least I can send it straight to them if I have an issue. And I know, it's a great warranty that I'll likely use, but it's going on a range only toy and I'm hopeful.

Good to know. I have been kicking the tires on some of these upstart optics companies too. I am willing to try something new provided the support is there if its needed. Seems like most of these 'lifetime warranties' only apply in the US.

Arken has no official Canadian distribution as far as I know, but maybe that's changed.
Warranty in Canada is likely handled by the individual retailers that might be importing them. Or use an importer and do it yourself. I was told by my importer at the time they would handle any warranty issues.
My EP4s have been solid.
I do not have experience with the SH4s, the gen 2s seem nice, but reports are that the glass is a slight step down from the EP4 and EP5. I believe turrets are the same construction on all of them.
Glass is maybe a touch less than a Strike Eagle 5-25 at $1.1k (good resolution and clarity, but slightly darker), but the Arken turrets are much, much better than the SE or PST gen 2. I'd say they have better clicks than the Razor gen 2. They have an excellent, solid zero stop but not locking.
I've been wanting to try their newer EP5, but I'm currently waiting on my Apex Optics Preorder.

We sell Arken Optics. The Canadian Distributor is ZDJ Sports. They have handled any issues presented quickly and efficiently. Canadian customers also get the lifetime warranty.

We have assisted our customers with the warranty process but customers can contact them directly as well

Thanks for the info!
Your website lists the EP5's as being sold out, another retailer a couple weeks ago said they were not expected till later in the year? Have they already come and gone once and if so what were your impressions?

I had an issue with my Arken scope, shipped it back to GBT and got a replacement in a few days. Superb warranty customer service.

We have not seen any EP5's yet. We added them because we were getting numerous emails for pricing, etc. I think that was the original time frame, but now we are told late April/early May. Having them on the website allows customers to sign up for notifications for when they are added. Then they will receive an email immediately after inventory is added to the website.
