Glock 48 - What do you think

...I’d say that the G48 is likely the best 9mm with a 10 round capacity available in Canada ....

There's not a lot of competition strictly in that class. In fact, the list of pistols in any centerfire caliber designed with a 10-rd capacity is pretty short.

I like the g48 a lot. Probably has much to do with the fact that it accidentally fits well into Canadian handgun regulations (barrel length and magazine capacity).

I loved my original silver slide G48 so much that I bought a MOS version too.
Already equipped with a TLR7 and a Holosun 507k it has rendered my G19 obsolete.
The G48 is truly a do all pistol for those with smaller mitts

I too had some "slide bite" initially, however I adjusted my grip and it went away. Cheers

It's not really biting me, my Tokarevs and BHP do a good job of that. The slide just wore a groove because I fired over 500 rounds that day. I have a hard time not gripping guns as high as I can. Just a habit I guess.

Hello fellow CGNer's, I've been shooting mostly 1911's, P220's, CZ75's, you know.. Heavy steel guns with large calibers and managed recoil.

Now a bunch of years back, I experimented with a couple glock 17's, I Gen 2, and Gen 3 and I found the recoil to be all over the place, mostly because the double stack magazine didn't allow me to grab it properly, and I didn't care for the ergonomics, I also tried an M&P, and a USP, both of which seemed to jump around like crazy, I believe the USP was in 40 S&W.

To my surprise, I bought a Glock 44 in .22 and it is a blast, it feels good in my hand, I'm putting holes in paper and I know it's a .22 with barely any recoil and a cute little pop.

So I started looking and Glock makes a single stack, beaver tailed G48 in 9mm with a 10 round mag, any input? I know the sights aren't the greatest and I'd obviously change those right away.

Let me know!

I had an early G48 (no rail or red dot slide cut) to try it out, and see what it was like. There was a recall on the loaded chamber indicator, which resulted in me sending it back to the vendor, and getting sent a replacement.

I put several hundred rounds through it, experiencing no failures to feed or fire. It has the same build quality as other Glocks I have owned with a similar trigger. The two I used shot S&B 124gr fairly well. The trigger guard is smaller than most pistols and I couldn't wear my Winter gloves when firing it. I have no complaints about the G48, however I sold mine as I had no specific use for it. Others I know really like the ergonomics as it fits their hands better than a full size double stack pistol does. I would recommend getting the newer ones that have a rail and red dot cut. Buy it & try it! They hold their value for re-sale if you don't like it.

Did the 507k on CH plate co-witness with the irons?

My 507k and CH plate barely cowitnesses with factory irons.
You can totally use the sights if you needed to. But they are partially blocked. About half the front sight is usable.

Worth every penny, spend a little extra for the factory Ameriglo upgrade model if you're not getting the MOS version and it's true Glock Perfection.

Love everything about mine, the only exception is the trigger, but you get used to it with practice.

I did, extra few bucks but I like them better compared to the standard version I shot in Fla.

Just stating a fact, dude. It's not a single stack, one look at a loaded clip could convince you.

It matters in the states where you can get 15 rd. flush fit for the 48.

Your incorrect usage of "clip" has totally negated any validity that your argument may have had. Move back 11 spaces - one for every round of capacity plus one for the magazine itself. Next player, you may now roll the dice...

I have tiny hands. Here's my airsoft G48 mos.
Waiting for 507K mount adapter to go back in stock. Come on FOC!!!!! :ang

With OWB Lightbearing holster and mag carriers.

Does the TLR 7 sub fit correctly on the front rail? I’ve heard that the G48 MOS front rail is narrower than other Glock models and most lights and lasers won’t tighten down properly.

I was into the idea of them until I saw a youtube reviewer flexing the frame with two fingers when the mag was ejected. Seemed flimsy. Haven't tried one so that's just my two cents, something to look into deeper if it's really of interest to you though.
If you go for it, two things you have to do with any Glock - better sights, (i always put the TFX tritium fibre optic on mine) and a better trigger like a Zev.

I love my G48 fits like a comfortable glove. If you manage to buy one you won't regret it.

I just ordered a 48 MOS and looking forward to it. I’ve shot my friends 17 and quite like it. I’m aware that my 48 will be quite different in my hands than his 17 and hoping I’ll be happy with the 48.

I guess I just like small pistols. I have a Boberg XR9L and quite like it as well…

A G21 will do that flexing too, it's a polymer pistol frame. G48 is a great gat.
