I've never pulled a laker out of Schwatka but I've got some really nice pike on the Riverdale side. Big grayling too.

Schwatka Lake is awesome. It's a government stocked lake and well known for their great big lake trout. I'd go back there any time... Nothing nicer than government stocked lakes!
I’m hoping to squeeze a day for bear next weekend... hopefully I find one !
you may have confuse with another lake. this one is not stocked at all. you have a chance to see chinook at the fish ladder later in the season.
it is part of the yukon river there is maybe trout but with activities around i doubt on a big success there especially for big unless you have a secret spot ...
For those interested in how far we have to go to catch trout, the pothole lakes around Schwatka are stocked with rainbows and kokanee, and the bigger one near the right of the screen, Cantlie Lake, with Arctic Char.
