Do not order items made or distributed by frankford arsenal

I have to agree . Sort of makes no sense his post .

Well it was not just the LED , it was the whole proprietary fixture that fastens into the press with two flat head, M3 (I think) machine screws; which included the mini USB port, and switch all smashed to s***.

But if you want to F*** with s***, go right ahead; you could by a screwed K-Car for about the same money, and have-at-her.... LMAO

The real problem is that FA is about the lowest quality Chinese crap on the reloading market today. Even if the light and it's fittings were pristine it would still be a 'K-Car"

Actually, let me rephrase that: It would be a Chinese knock-off of a K-Car.

I had an issue with a FA kinetic bullet puller; the hammer type. I sent off for warranty, they said it was indeed defective, and when I gave them my address they said unfortunately they were not able to ship a replacement to me as I was in Canada….. I left it at that as I wasn’t going to get be t out of shape over a $30 thing. Without exaggeration about 9 months later a new one showed up in the mail; caught me by surprise!

The presses build quality is on par with the best than NA has to offer.

Tumblers aren’t going to be controlled by the Dept of Congress like reloading parts are. It’s surprising FA hasn’t signed up with them. Very uncool.

Btw, Hornady is great with Canadians. I accidentally left powder in my hopper and it distorted it. They sent me a new one, no problem.

Hand operated reloading tools are not controlled.

I know they aren’t controlled under ITAR, but there is another lower level under Congress. This has been changing in the past two years. Not sure where everything sits now with paperwork requirements, and no doubt some firms may not react quickly. Given other info presented above, I can see why FA wouldn’t want to send some parts directly to Canada. Makes me never want to buy their stuff again.

This must be a recent change then, I'm surprised word is not more widespread.

You claim the Chinese-built FA M-Press is as good quality as the American-built Forster Co-Ax it copies?? Or that the FA equipment is on par with Dillon and Redding which are also built in the USA?

So if federal shipping regulations are the issue, then this would apply to all manufacturers including Redding, RCBS, Hornady, etc.
It would appear that FA just doesn’t either want to ship certain things to us, or cannot be bothered to do what they (might) need to do in order to ship stuff here. Either way shows no support for us.

The main difference I think is $40 shipping a warranty part to Canada vs $10 shipping the same part within the US.

Yes, except for the customer support. Look at the reviews; get your hands on one like I did. On par with Redding, RCBS and Lyman. My old lyman was tough, but after 40+ years I wore it out and could not get parts, new or used.

I know little about Dillon, other than their progressive presses are good.

Fit and finish on the FA M-Press was impressive to say the least.

...I say again; no customer support.

I broke the spring in my Frankford Arsenal hand primer. Twice.

Both times I contacted them by email and both times they sent me a spare parts kit. Free. mail to Canada.

Excellent service.

Not for me:

Hello Mark,

Unfortunately I can not ship to Canada at this time. I would suggest to contact Amazon to see if they will exchange that unit for a new one. I apologize for the inconvenience.

If you reply to ensure that any response is tied to your case please reply to this email and leave the Email Subject as is with the Case ID.

I now have a brand-new RCBS Rock Chucker (delivered yesterday) waiting to get installed on my bench. It came with a manual and Canadian support. Better choice I think.

Most of the time, a company do not ship to Canada because they have an exclusive distributor to handle their products.
Is this the case ? Frankfort Arsenal tools and press are sturdy..little to go wrong.

Bar none, the best lifetime warranty is Dillon. I also had good service from Lyman and RCBS.

You should ask them for the exact reason why they won’t ship to Canada.

I did:

I apologize for the delay in reply. We have distributors in Canada who may be able to work with. Your best bet would be to contact Amazon who you purchased it from to see if they will exchange the unit for a new one. I understand your frustration into this matter and I apologize for the inconvenience. We can not ship direct to consumer products international.

I never realized that FA had this policy. Most certainly won't be ordering any of their products in the future. TKS for the heads up.
