It's a tricky one in that it isn't common. Internet just verifies this.
If someone here has experience with this cartridge, I am listening.

RCBS catalogue lists #9 rcbs for their dies. Other makes will likely have a different numbering system, adding to the confusion.

Water's got 0.454 rim and my PPU brass shows 0.447... the size differential must not help either.
I reached out to Lee and they will do a custom grind it seems.
Thanks, I'll end up with a couple holders...but if anyone has any Graf brass, I'd be interested in the dimensions as well

Not familiar with "Waters" at all. Is it brass or a manual or...? I have some old imperial brass that measures .447,and an old dominion case that goes .446. I would guess that is the standard that has been used, considering ppu is the same. An old lyman book lists lyman #28 shell holder for both 6.5x54 ms. and 6.5x52 carcano. Maybe check for a carcano shell holder just,..well just because!

Hornady shell holder #20 is a perfect fit. Lee #2 is way to sloppy and I was bending the case rims. RCBS #9 is better than Lee #2 but still damaging the rims but is a perfect fit for 35 Remington.

Sorry...on older stuff I just consult 'The Bible' ... Pet Loads by Ken Waters. He was a pretty knowledgeable fella on reloading back when.

Ken waters and his Pet Loads...
A very interesting read if one can find a copy .
I see tokguy has also answered.
I'm sure RCBS would grind a shell holder as well, one just has to reach out there tokguy ;)
I'm not familiar with the dimensions you need, but look forward to your developments.

AHH.. now it clicks. I have had my nose in that book more than a few times myself. A 7.62x39 rim is .445 with my yardstick, and lee lists a #12 for it ,so maybe worth a shot.

Actually got an answer from Lee, helpful and polite.
They were willing to get one out in the mail. But I have two Cooey Carano's, one in 7.62 x 39...Lee Rep suggested Western Metals. I'm going to need to do a bit of reloading for the M43 round...it's a twofer IMO.
I'll get a set of dies in M43 and Bob's your uncle

The challenge with shellholders is that it depends on the brass as much as the caliber, hence I have Lee, RCBS and Lyman on hand, many of which were bought at Gun Shows. I find Lyman to make the most durable one.

The Lee #12 is a teensy bit tight for PPU brass. A member reached out and I've an alternate / different brand in the mail... fingers crossed
