Anyone have any reliable news on the matter? Last I heard there was a puch in Ont and Quebec to M&P 9 and or 40's.

The last one I remember was in Vancouver..this is what I remember so details maybe slightly off...the badguy slashed a guard with a knife and took the loot....his partner lined up on the BG and shot him in the back of the head as he ran away down a sidewalk....

A couple years later in Nanaimo two guards were robbed in Costco by gunman with a sten....no shots fired in that one......

Are we suggesting that Guards should not be armed?????

not too long ago a female gaurd shot a man who jumped her, forget where, think it was in either Quebec or ontario

My cousin works for Brinks, and was told that they are getting ready to train for the new guns. They are still using the .38s I was told.

When was the last time an armed guard fired a shot on the job in Canada?

Hijack LOL

I did the job for 7 years. One day MGMT came to us and asked if we would consider doing the job unarmed. 100% said no and that they would immediately walk out the door. I worked with the guy in Vancouver that shot the Bad guy and went to trial for shooting him....turns out it was self defense afterall. There were all kinds of armoured car robbery's in Canada over the last couple of years and yes with shots fired. It's been a long time since I did that job....####ty pay for WAY too much risk.

Now back on track please........ :)

2 weeks ago I spotted a Brinks guy in North Bay ON carrying an M&P. I heard they were going for .40 but as it was in the holster I couldn't tell :p The trainers here in Winnipeg have been playing with M&P's for a few months now, not sure of the details for a general issue.

When my buddy worked for brinks he had an AD through his holster and into the floor and his partner had an AD with the shotgun (which was not supposed to have a loaded chamber) and all the SSG went into the ceiling and bounced around the cab!! Imagine the sound that would make!!!

Apparently you don't really hear anything when that happens, just ringing in your ears!
