I recently did an impulsive purchase because of this stupid 5/18 registry thing.
I walked into a LGS with intention of purchasing a mag pouch. But when I set my eyes on this golden rose embroiled receiver and reminiscent style rifle, I couldn't resist it and decided to buy it.
I just came back from range, oh man this thing doesn't disappoint me.
With a little tweak of the rear sight, I can consistently shoot 1.5 inch from 45 yard with the brass peep front-sight and diamond rear sight.
Within 25 yards, I can keep hitting the 1 inch steel plate every single time.
And the lever action is really fun to cycle, it's my first Henry and it will not be last for sure.
Can you guys suggest something more manly and center fire for Henry rifles? I am not so into 45 colt, 30-30 calibre considering the cost.
