Handgun Ban

This is the issue though and the long game the liberals are playing. We are already divided amongst even the conservative party about these issues, then we have the people that are ok that they still get to enjoy it but it sucks for everyone else.

The thing I can't stop thinking about is the mom-and-pop shops that will have 1/3 of their inventory frozen even after the original OIC, the grandfather handing down family service pistols, or even people finding a new hobby. This still breaks my heart and I hope it get's stopped.

Please explain how banning guns is an admission that (a) target shooting is a legitimate sport (b) gun owners are not the problem!!
Oh and by the way my kids can still shoot my guns, no need to own it to shoot it, and they are pissed!!

We haven't earned squat. They'll still continue to come up with justifications to further restrict our rights, as they advance the goal of ultimate citizen disarmament. Nothing about this government is just or fair, as we've seen recently with the Ottawa protest and how the government continues to treat us. Trudeau and company see us not as citizens, but subjects. I hate to say it, but I'll give leftists their due. When the government does something they don't like, they organize and really harass the s@$& out of them. (Not at all advocating for the harassment of individuals or families). We seriously need to do the same. None of this appeasement BS.

What happened today is just outright BS.

If we have any chance to change this with the next federal election we can not afford to split the vote. The liberals must be sent packing.

I'm not super familiar with what happened with the 12.6 prohib's but isn't this basically how it started? They grandfathered people with the prohib's and everything was fine until the CFO's decided to stop issuing ATT's and voila, effective permanent ban. I expect that is what we'll see here.. grandfather to placate people that it could have been worse - once dust settles then cancel ATT's and voila you have a hunk of steel you can never shoot again.

I could be wrong - if someone knows how it unfolded and over how long last time I'd like to hear it!
