Milsurp Rifles and Handguns Losing Value due to Liberals

Well we now see the Liberals going after milsurps with a mag limit of 5 rounds for all actions, and a freeze on all handgun transfers.

For those of us with valuable milsurp collections we are now getting it up the you know what - like the black rifle shooters got it 2 years ago.

Your estate is going to get zero $$ for your valuable Lugers when you pass. You may enjoy it while you live, but your hobby, your passion, is over when you croak. That is a depressing fact.
It's going to be melted down, the end of the line for living history. And all because of politics. It has nothing to do with public safety, its purely become a political wedge they relish using.

I suspected many milsurp guys were sitting on the fence politically since it seemed the Liberals were going after black rifles quite a bit.
It is now obvious to even the most brainwashed that they just don't want Canadians to have any guns. And its a death by a thousand cuts. And its not going to take decades, they have fired off the two largest measures in a span of just 2 years - under minority govt. This is going quite fast actually.

So what if anything is the milsurp community going to do? We are generally the older of the many gun groups, the more intelligent if I can be so biased, and probably the most affluent.

I don't want this post to end up in the political section, where some of you probably never venture, and that I believe in itself is problematic.
Thoughts?
 
As this is tantamount to delayed confiscation, we all stand to lose considerably. If this can't be reversed, we deserve compensation for the loss in value to our estates.

If by "milsurp" you are reffering to FUDD's (which is mighty generous of you), there is a 99% chance, that they still don't understand the situation and/or what is going on.

Some of them will vote Liberal or NDP as if nothing happened.
It is only when they come for their "sniper rifles" and "assault style" Lee Enfields, that you might get a reaction out of them.
Or as they say "we bought ourselves a couple years of peace", as someone from their camp stated in another thread.
Basically nothing to see here..

Well the Enfields will need their mags permanently modified. As well as Garands. Tube mags over 5 as well.
So it's coming, nothing is safe anymore. They can't claim its just modern semi autos, its clearly everything - including airsoft, not even a real firearm!

M1 Garands and Lee-Enfield rifles are specifically exempted as part of the firearms act - of course, they can just amend that.

I think you missed the action yesterday. They said ALL rifle magazines regardless of action will be capped to 5 rounds. Those exemptions are going to be removed.

Have you actually seen anything in writing for what the changes are going to be? Because I haven't. Thus I have no idea if these changes will apply to ALL guns, or only centerfire guns, or only semi automatics (Semis already have a 5 round limit but there is currently the ability to use pistol mags for 10 rounds, I could see them making that illegal). Of course it COULD be ALL guns, but until we can actually read the changes its all speculation.

To load a garand you insert an en bloc clip into the magazine.

It was exempted in the 90's because it was practical. This bunch would make you butcher your Garand just to smite you. Or your Winchester lever. Or your Boer War era Long Lee. They hate you and want to screw with you because you enjoy those things.
