My step-father is 84 and he has a Colt 45 from his grandfather. It's a family heirloom and he's proud of it. I haven't had a chance to discuss what his plans were for transferring that gun upon his death, but now I'm having that conversation and we only have a short window to do a transfer to keep the gun within the family.

It's sad and this government is run by horrible people.

I’m thinking on the 7th there will be more bans coming through. As I’m currently dealing with a forfeit order with the rcmp and I’m being told the two type 81’s sa my friend has are prohibited according to cfo office although they are completely stock! I also got a reference number on may 24 for 3 pistols still nothing from the cfo office. So I’m guessing there holding out on every one till our fearless dictator tells everyone sorry but no pistols just my 2 cents

Been trying for days to do an individual transfer , have called close to 200 times and have not yet got through , have them on speed dial and do the 1 4 and 2 usual , always get a recording telling me how busy they are and call back later , or on the odd time I make it to the next level of recordings they thank me for being a responsible gun order then they hang up on me , what a load of crap , only the federal goverment could F something up this bad
Cannot imagine anything more incompetent the current government that we have at this time
Need to have an election so we can turf these tards out

I have not tried during this recent debacle, but before I would start calling 2 to 3 minutes before they opened in the morning and usually got through.

No sure what you are saying. You can purchase a restricted from a business on a Saturday and the transfer request can be submitted electronically but there it sits in NB until someone looks at it, the next business day or longer. Here in BC, approvals were taking 24 hours or less. But that was before the stampede.

Good for you, I'm glad someone got through. I called 226 times today (shift worker) and never lasted more than 15 minutes in the cue.... I have to try that all over again Monday.
