And honestly RJ, Talley LW rings suck to. And I have used a pile of them. That includes using them on LH SA Model 70’s.

Charles, just for giggles, why don't you share why Talley's suck? It it because you have over torqued them and broken off corners? Is it because you have under torqued them and had them slip? Is it because the holes on your precious Winchesters are out of alignment and you have to lap the hell out of them? Do share?
R.
Don't take the hook Jim. Chuck has just recycled himself. For whatever reason.

I have used dozens of them. No I have never broken one nor over or under torqued one. But oh my have I ever seen them broken. BUT I have NEVER used a single solitary mount that has lost zero more than Talley LW’s. Ever. And I’ve used them on far more than Winchester Model 70’s.
But hey. Use them. I honestly do not care. But everyone here seems to want affirmation rather than an opinion anyway. That’s a mental condition, not a hardware issue.

Hey I wonder why you have never broken ANY with ALL the dozen's you have used BUT know so many others that have had them BREAK ? That IS very STRANGE - Don't you think ? JUST Wondering ? RJ

Talley one-piece lightweights with a 2-7x Leupold. Comes in at around 7 1/2 lbs empty. Someday I might upgrade to a 2.5-8x VX-3.
i use 2-7 vari x , for what it is, set an forget, i love it. i will also upgrade one day to 2-8x 36 model
set n forget becuse mines an old slide at whatever inches it wants at however far ya turn it...kind of dial.
But I like S&K’s a lot. And if you call them they will send bases set up like the DD’s.
