Charles, just for giggles, why don't you share why Talley's suck? It it because you have over torqued them and broken off corners? Is it because you have under torqued them and had them slip? Is it because the holes on your precious Winchesters are out of alignment and you have to lap the hell out of them? Do share?

Don't take the hook Jim. Chuck has just recycled himself. For whatever reason.

I have used dozens of them. No I have never broken one nor over or under torqued one. But oh my have I ever seen them broken. BUT I have NEVER used a single solitary mount that has lost zero more than Talley LW’s. Ever. And I’ve used them on far more than Winchester Model 70’s.

But hey. Use them. I honestly do not care. But everyone here seems to want affirmation rather than an opinion anyway. That’s a mental condition, not a hardware issue.

I have not recycled myself. I had something happen, went to admin with a request and this was the suggestion. But it sure is fun to see post count as an experience indicator.

You should purchase a quality torque wrench then? And actually use it? You, above all would know about affirmation over opinion, as you constantly ask for the affirmation yourself? As far as mental conditions go, you probably have that cornered.

So pathfinder is the old Chuck.
When you make your bed and it starts to smell, best buy a new house rather then change the sheets. Gotcha.

Hey I wonder why you have never broken ANY with ALL the dozen's you have used BUT know so many others that have had them BREAK ? That IS very STRANGE - Don't you think ? JUST Wondering ? RJ

well seems we have a pattern as i do enjoy the 2.5-8x36 ...and they works for me from wsm to 375 ruger and 306 but what do i know ...

thanks for all that gave me the talley i need.

I've a set of Luepold mounts for a 70...but they may be for a smaller tube.
I never turn coin on this sorta thong. But it is nice to find a home for such things.

If you want to call me I’ll PM you my number.

That’s what I like about the DD’s. You can get them in super lows. Useless on a Remington, but will clear a Winchester bolt handle.
